Andrew Siese
Andrew Siese is an associate of intheconsultingroom.com He qualified as a Systemic/Family therapist and also works for the NHS as a Consultant Lead in Psychological Therapies. He is experienced at working with couples who find themselves in an emotional cul de sac and with families where communication has broken down. He also specialises in eating disorders, self harm, suicidal ideation and depression in adolescents and children.
Andrew has developed his therapeutic style over many years of work in these painful areas and he considers that a collaborative and conversationally-orientated approach - through a shared dialogue - is the healthiest way to engage with his clients' anxieties and emotional issues. His method relies on establishing a trusting and confidential openness and creating a healing space in the consulting room, that can then act as bridge back into the everyday world.
Andrew and Tanya have been co-therapists working together for twelve years during which time they have worked with many couples to try to resolve their difficulties, or help them to move towards co-operative separations. Together, they have become skilled in helping couples to develop a more creative dialogue with which to recognise and attempt a resolution of their problems.
Andrew is involved in several research projects in the NHS where he is also in demand as a clinical supervisor, and training consultant.
